Uninstall Internet Explorer completely - Here's how
Although Internet Explorer is preinstalled on every Windows PC, very few use it. However, it is not immediately possible to uninstall it. Microsoft has installed a function under Windows 8, with which the browser can be deactivated and practically completely disappears from the system. Here we show you where to find this option.
Deactivate Internet Explorer under Win8 and remove it from the system
The path to deinstallation also leads to the control panel in Windows 8.
- Open this by looking for "Control Panel" on the start screen and clicking on the corresponding tile.
- Go to "Programs" and then "Activate or deactivate Windows features".
- Remove the tick from "Internet Explorer 10" and confirm with "Yes".
- Close the window by clicking "OK" and restart the computer. The browser will no longer be found in your system in the future.
