iOS 10: Delete pre-installed apps
Apple has finally responded to the calls of numerous users and allows to delete pre-installed apps under iOS 10. However, some programs are excluded from the new function - we will tell you everything you need to know about the new feature.
iOS 10: Deleting pre-installed apps is finally possible
- Apple also releases a new version of iOS every year with a new iPhone. Almost every version includes new preinstalled apps.
- In recent years, the apps Wallet, friends, health, watch and tips have been added. However, most apps are not used by many users.
- Deleting the pre-installed apps would have always been technically possible - and also worked with a jailbreak or other tricks. With iOS 10, the Apple app "Home" is now preinstalled, which hardly anyone will use for the time being. Therefore, Apple now allows you to permanently remove these apps.
- Not all apps can be uninstalled, but you can get rid of most of them:

- You can also delete pre-installed apps as usual using the standard method. Press and hold any app, then tap the respective cross symbol and select "Delete".
- Calendar, mail, notes and contacts can be completely uninstalled from the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. Only the Messages, Phone and Safari applications remain an integral part of iOS.
- If you would like to use an uninstalled app again later, you can download and install it from the app store.
