iOS 7.1: Is the Pangu Jailbreak Safe?
- The Chinese hacker group Pangu has released an untethered jailbreak for iOS 7.1. Such a jailbreak has already been achieved by other hackers, but no jailbreak has been published by them.
- The evad3rs developers are known for their iPhone jailbreaks. However, you didn't want to release one for iOS 7.1. You can only expect a jailbreak for iOS 8 again.
- The Pangu jailbreak works like any other jailbreak. According to experts, this is also virus-free. You can find the jailbreak in our CHIP download area.
- Since the Chinese developer group Pangu is relatively unknown, we do not recommend using the jailbreak. In the worst case, this could render your iPhone unusable.
- We advise you to jailbreak for iOS 7 instead. Alternatively, you can wait for iOS 8, which will be released in autumn 2014.
