- Open the "Settings" app and select "Accessibility" under the "General" category.
- Deactivate the function of the same name under the "Reduce motion" category. The parallax effect is thus switched off.
- Under the "Increase Contrast" category you will also find the "Reduce transparency" option.
These tips make iOS 8 faster
- Location services: In many cases, location by apps or system applications is not necessary. You should therefore partially deactivate location services.
- Updates: Your iOS device is always ready to receive messages from closed apps. With WhatsApp that makes sense, but notifications and updates of games are not useful in many cases. Disabling background updates also saves a lot of battery.
- Spotlight search: Your iOS device documents every single change, even if it is only the smallest note. You can use the Spotlight search to search for almost everything on your device. Adjusting Spotlight Search no longer scans all areas. If you are not using the search anyway, you can switch it off completely.
- App updates: If an update is available for an app, it will be installed automatically. This permanent search for updates also puts a strain on your system. Therefore, deactivate the automatic app updates.
Delete apps you don't need
- Even if you hardly ever use an installed app, existence has a negative impact on performance. After installation, the app is an integral part of the system and claims, among other things, the function mentioned above.
- If your iOS device becomes noticeably slower, exit all running apps to free up some RAM. To do this, double-click on the home button. Restarting the device also makes a lame device faster again.
