- The display then uses warmer light at night, so you won't have any trouble falling asleep.
- The normal colder spectrum, however, is used during the day.

In addition to night shift mode, Apple has made many small improvements in iOS 9.3:
- You can finally protect your notes in the "Notes" app with a password or fingerprint from curious people.
- The "News" feature is now even more tailored to your interests. Over time, you will hardly receive any articles that you are not interested in. There is now also a landscape mode and videos can be played directly in the news feed.

- Particularly interesting for iPads in schools: With iOS 9.3, you can now offer several students private access for one and the same iPad.
- CarPlay has an "Nearby" feature that makes it easy to find restaurants, petrol stations and shops.
- With iOS 9.3, iPhones can be connected to several Apple Watches at the same time.
- If you have an iPhone 6S, there are new 3D touch gestures for the "Settings", "Weather" and "App Store" apps. This includes quick actions from the home screen.
- Recommendations in Apple Music based on expert tips are now clearly presented.
- If your iPhone is managed centrally by a company, you will receive a new message on the lockscreen "iPhone is managed by your organization". The settings explain exactly what this means for you. You can now install iOS 9.3 via the settings if you have at least an iPhone 4S or an iPad 2. Not interested in iOS 9.3? Then you can also go back to an older iOS version.
