If you want to save some power on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, you can turn off the animations on iOS. We'll show you how it's done.
iOS 9: Deactivate animations individually
- Since iOS 7, you can deactivate the animations of opening and closing apps. This saves battery in the long run and speeds up the device.
- The parallax effect is also one of the animations under iOS. Tilt the device in your hands, the apps move easily on the home screen.
- Unfortunately, under iOS 9 you can no longer switch off the functions separately. You only have the option of deactivating all animations at once.
Instructions: Disable animations on iPhone
- Open the "Settings" app and select the "General" category.
- Tap the "Accessibility" button in the middle and look for the item "Reduce movement".
- If you activate the "Reduce motion" option, the animations are switched off.
