Receive iOS messages on Mac - Here's how
You can receive messages from your iOS device on Mac instead of just on iPhone and iPad. We show you how this works in this guide.
Mac: Receive iOS messages via the app
In order for push messages to work, you need the Notifyr app on both your iOS device and Mac.
- First, download the Mac version of Notifyr.
- Then download the iOS app Notifyr to your iPhone or iPadun for around 3.99 euros and install the application.
- Open the app on your iOS device and allow it to access the Bluetooth connection.
Connect iPhone and Mac
In order for the push messages to be transferred from the iPhone or iPad to the Mac, you still need to connect the devices to one another.
- Open the Control Panel on your Mac and click the Notifyr icon.
- In the app settings, click the "Select Device" button in the lower right corner. All available Bluetooth devices in the area are now displayed. Select your iPhone or iPad from the list and mark it with a simple mouse click.
- Now click on the "Connect" button. The question of whether you want to pair the device with the Mac appears on the screen of the iDevice. If you confirm the request, an input field appears. Enter the number that is now displayed on the Mac screen and confirm again with "Pair".
- Now you will see the message on the top right of your Mac screen that you are now receiving messages from your iPhone or iPad on your Mac. In future, all push messages received on the iPhone or iPad will appear here.
