iPad multi-touch gesture: How to get back to the home screen
- If you want to close an open app again, you can do this by contracting the screen.
- All you have to do is put four fingers in the middle of the screen and pull them together. The app is already closed.
- In contrast to calling up the multitasking menu, this does not pull from bottom to top, but from right to left. Et Voilá, the most recently used app appears on the display.
- Also by simply pulling down from the top right of the display, a list of the most recently used apps appears and you can now select an app.
How sharp are your pictures really?
The Apple "Photos" app is now also equipped with features that give you a better overview of your pictures with just two fingers:
- By widening or contracting the two fingers, you can enlarge or reduce the size of albums and photos. Opening is also possible.
- However, the zoom function is not only available for the app, the size of the keyboard can also be changed using the two-finger technique.
Multitasking for professionals: The "slide view" function
If you want to take "multitasking" to the extreme, you will get your money's worth with the "Slide View" function:
- Here you can use two apps at the same time without closing one of the two or having to switch between the apps all the time. By tapping the dividing lines, the app can be displayed in a reduced size.
- If you now pull down on the edge of the screen, you can select an app to display it next to the other. If you want to undo this, you can draw the dividing lines via the app that you want to close.
- The "picture-in-picture" function enables the use of apps while watching a video or making calls via FaceTime. Pressing the home button on your iPad minimizes the display of the video and only shows it on the edge of the screen.
- You can now open a new app without stopping the video from playing. If you would like to return to the full screen mode of the video, you only have to double-click on the picture.
