Apple TV is not found by the iPad / iPhone - possible causes and solutions
If you do not find the Apple TV with your iPad or iPhone, you should check whether both devices are connected to the same WiFi network:
- To do this, open the "Settings"> "General"> "Network" on the Apple TV. If you are not yet connected to a network, you can set this here.
- On the iPhone or iPad, go to "Settings" and finally "WLAN". Here you have to make sure that the WLAN is active and a connection is established.
- You should also make sure that both the iPhone or iPad and the Apple TV have the latest system software installed.
- You can try briefly switching the iPhone or iPad off and then on again. Try this with your Apple TV as well.
- If you cannot establish a connection to your WiFi network, you should disconnect your router from the power supply for about 10 seconds. This solves many connection problems.
