iPad: Share calendar - how it works
You can share your calendars with other people on iPad so that you can easily compare or set appointments with them. We'll show you how to do it.
Share your private calendar on iPad
You can only share private calendars with other iCloud users. These can then be accessed, for example, from an iOS device, via Microsoft Outlook, the calendar app on Macs or the iCloud calendar.
- Open "Settings" on your iPad and select the "iCloud" tab in the left bar.
- Activate the entry under "Calendar".
- Then open the Apple calendar app on your iPad. Touch "Calendar" in the bottom center.
- Select the iCloud calendar you want to share by tapping the info icon to the right of the calendar name.
- Under "Share with:" choose the option "Add person ..." and enter the email address of another iCloud user. To confirm, tap "Add" in the pop-up at the top right.
- The invited person will now receive an email. When the user accepts your invitation, they can access your calendar.
- Optionally, you can also allow added users to edit the calendar. To do this, tap on an added user in the "Edit" overview of a released calendar and activate the entry "Allow editing".
iPad: Share a public iCloud calendar
With public calendars, you do not have to invite each user separately, you can simply publish a link.
- Start the calendar app on the iPad and tap on "Calendar" below.
- Select one of your calendars and tap the info symbol to the right of it. Scroll down slightly and activate the "Public Calendar" option.
- After a short time, an entry "Share link ..." appears. Tap on it and copy the link to your clipboard, for example, to send it to friends, or share the URL via email. Other users cannot edit public calendars.
