Connect and operate iPad with Bluetooth mouse - is that possible?
Find out in this practical tip how to connect and operate your iPad with a Bluetooth mouse.
Here's how: Use a Bluetooth mouse with an iPad
For this guide to work, you must first jailbreak your device. Instructions can be found in the video below or in our articles for iOS 7 and iOS 8. However, please note that if your device is jailbroken, your device's warranty will expire.
- If you have successfully jailbroken your device, open the "Cydia Store".
- Search for the free tool "BTStack Mouse" here and install the app.
- After successful installation and a respring, you will find the "Mouse" app on the home screen.
- If you run the tool, your iPad will automatically search for Bluetooth mice that are nearby. So activate your mouse and pair it with your tablet.
- You can then operate your iPad via Bluetooth without a touchscreen.
- Note: The app must run in the background so that you can continue to use the mouse.
This practical tip is based on Apple's iOS 6. You can also connect a monitor to the iPad. You can read how to do this in our next practical tip.
