iPad: change PIN - how it works

With the iPad, you can change two different PINs at any time: one corresponds to your lock code, the other to the PIN code of your SIM card. We'll tell you how to adjust both passwords later.
iPad: Change lock screen PIN
So that nobody can access the apps and data on your iPad, you can secure the tablet with a lock code. The four-digit number PIN can be changed at any time:
- Open the Settings app on your iPad.
- Then go to the "Code" section on the left and enter your previous lockscreen PIN. Note: We will give you tips in case you forget your lock code.
- Now select the "Change code" option and enter your old PIN once and your new PIN twice.
- You can then unlock your tablet with the new password.
iPad: Change SIM card PIN
If you have an iPad with HSDPA or LTE support, you can insert a SIM card into the tablet and surf on the go. You can also change the PIN of your SIM card:
- To do this, also start the Settings app on your iPad.
- In the left column, tap "Mobile data".
- Here you will find the "SIM PIN" item, under which you can change the PIN code.
- Enter your old PIN once and then the new code twice.
