We show you the most important shortcuts for your Bluetooth keyboard in connection with an iPad. This makes typing on an iPad with a keyboard even easier.
Activate VoiceOver function for some shortcuts
To be able to use the following shortcuts, you must first activate the VoiceOver function of your iPad. You can still turn off voice playback.
- Activate the function in the settings under General> Accessibility> VoiceOver. However, if you want to switch off voice playback, press [Control] + [Option] + [S] on your Bluetooth keyboard.
The most important shortcuts for your Bluetooth keyboard
You can use the following shortcuts, especially after activating the VoiceOver function.
- With [Control] + [Option] + [I] you get a list of all apps and folders of your iPad.
- Clicking [Command] + [Shift] + [Tab] takes you to the previously used app. You can access your originally opened app by clicking [Command] + [Tab].
- In a nutshell: [Esc] is the back button.
- The home button on the keyboard is replaced by [Control] + [Option] + [H].
- Use [Option] + [Backspace] to delete the last word to the left of the cursor. And with [Command] + [Backspace] you can even delete the entire line to the left of the cursor.
- You can get the copy, paste and cut functions as usual by pressing [Command] + [C] for copy, [Command] + [V] for paste and [Command] + [X] for cut.
