iPad doesn't sync with iTunes - what to do?
If your iPad doesn't sync with iTunes, there can be several reasons. We'll show you how to solve the problem.
iTunes: iPad is no longer syncing
- Remove the USB cable from both the computer and the iPad. Then try to connect again.
- Turn your iPad completely off and on again. Small errors in the buffer are thus deleted.
- If you also use the backup via iCloud, there may be problems with an ongoing backup. Open the "Settings" app on your iPad and select "Backup" under the "iCloud" category. Here you can see whether a backup is currently in progress.
- A software update can also help. If an update is available, install it.
- If the instructions in the next paragraph don't work either, reset your iPad completely. You can then restore your data from a backup.
Sync iPad properly with iTunes
- If iTunes completes the synchronization but does not accept the new data, this may be due to incorrect settings.
- Open iTunes and select your iPad in the top left. Below you will find your settings for synchronization under "Options".
- Select here which areas you want to synchronize or whether you select them manually.
