If you don't feel like writing, you can simply dictate the texts on your iPad. We'll show you which app this works with.
Dictate texts on the iPad
- For example, open a new note in the "Notes" app, you will find a microphone icon at the bottom left next to the spacebar.
- Tap the icon to start speech recognition. This recognizes every word with a short delay. You can end the dictation using the "Done" button.
- If a word was not recognized correctly, you can then correct it manually. Make sure you have a clear pronunciation. The microphone should not be covered by your hand or other objects.
- If you cannot find the microphone on the keyboard, open the "Settings" app. Under the category "General"> "Keyboard" you will find the option "Activate dictation function" below.
Helpful commands for dictating on iPad
- A space can easily be inserted using the "space" command. You reach the next line with "New line". The enter key is pressed twice via "New Paragraph".
- You can simply pronounce punctuation marks. For this, the iPad understands the commands period, comma, question mark and exclamation mark. The command for a minus or dash is "hyphen" or "minus sign".
