Connect iPhone to projector - with this adapter it works
Note: With older devices such as the iPhone 3GS or outdated firmware such as iOS 5, transmission is only possible to a very limited extent.
- Check projector: Most projectors have either a VGA or HDMI connection. Since this does not fit your iPhone, you need an adapter.
- Check iPhone: Depending on which iPhone you have, you may need a different adapter. The iPhone 4 and 4S require an adapter for the 30-pin dock connection. The newer devices like iPhone 5 and 5S, however, have the narrower Lightning connector.
- Adapter: For the iPhone 4 and 4S you get the adapter for Dock-HDMI and Dock-VGA for about 10 to 20 euros. For the iPhone 5 and 5S you have to dig a little deeper into your pocket. The adapters for Lightning-HDMI and Ligthning-VGA cost about 40 to 50 euros.
- Connection: If you now have the right adapter, you can simply connect the iPhone with the cable. The image is transferred automatically and immediately.
