Filling the iPhone with apps happened quickly. But what to do if you want to delete the apps afterwards? If you know how it works, uninstalling the small applications is child's play.
Delete iPhone apps: how to uninstall apps
Deleting apps that are no longer required is easy:
- Tap the desired app icon on the home screen. Hold your finger on the app to be removed until it starts to "tremble".
- Now you can not only move the app icons, but also delete the installed programs using the small "X" icon in the top left.
- The program then disappears from your iPhone. With the next synchronization, the settings will also be adjusted in iTunes.
Delete iPhone X apps - another way
If you are the proud owner of an iPhone X, there is another way to delete apps:
- Navigate to "General"> "iPhone Storage" under "Settings".
- Scroll down, you'll see a list of installed apps. Tap on the small arrow behind the desired app and then on "Delete app".
- Finally, confirm this selection again using the "Delete app" button.
Delete app: No cross in wobble mode - so it works anyway
If the apps are not in wobble mode, the delete function for apps on your iPhone may be deactivated.
- To activate, go to the menu item "Settings", then to "General", followed by "Restrictions".
- If you are working in this menu item for the first time, you may be asked to set up a restriction code. This is a four-digit code of your choice.
- Since you rarely need this code, it is advisable to set up a simple combination. Back in the "Restrictions", slide the switch at "Delete apps" to 0. Now you can delete your apps as described above.
- Note: After uninstalling, the programs are deleted from your iPhone, but they remain in iTunes and the App Store. This allows you to reinstall the apps in case you need the removed program again.
Delete pre-installed apps - works too
Since iOS 10, pre-installed apps can also be deleted using the method described at the beginning.
- Calendar, mail, notes and contacts can be completely uninstalled, whereas the messages, phone and safari applications remain an integral part of iOS and therefore cannot be removed.
- If you would like to use an uninstalled app again later, you can easily download and install it again from the app store.
- You can delete numerous built-in apps under iOS 11: In addition to activity, you can also use the Calculator, Calendar, Compass, Contacts, FaceTime, Files, Find friends, Home, iBooks, iTunes Store, Mail, Cards, Music, News, Notes, Photo applications Remove booth, podcasts, reminders, shares, tips, TV, videos, voice memos, watch app and weather.
