Tidy up iPhone: How to make space
Cookies, temporary files and the cache quickly eat up your iPhone's storage space. This practical tip shows you how to clean up your storage space.
Clean up iPhone memory with "PhoneClean"
With a few clicks, you can find large amounts of data on your iPhone and delete them.
- Download and install the free "PhoneClean" tool for Windows or Mac.
- After successful installation, start the tool and connect your iPhone to the PC or Mac.
- Note: If you have set a lock code, you must first enter it and then connect the device to the PC.
- If the device was successfully recognized, the current storage space is displayed. With a click on "Start Scan" the iPhone is checked for excess (working) memory.
- Depending on how many apps you have installed, this process can take several minutes.
- After the scan has been completed, the results are displayed sorted by category. With a click on the arrow under "Detail" you get more detailed information about the found files.
- With a click on "Clean Up" all content that has been ticked will be removed. This process can also take some time. These include, for example, cookies, the browser cache and temporary files that are no longer needed.
- After successful cleaning, the cleared storage space is displayed on an overview page.
