iPhone in Bootloop - you can do that
After an update or jailbreak, the iPhone may get stuck in the boot loop. It can then no longer be switched on or reset. The only solution is the DFU mode. We'll show you how to get your iPhone up and running again.
Bootloop: Put iPhone in DFU mode
If the iPhone gets stuck in the boot loop, it can neither be reset nor you can import a backup with iTunes. The solution is the so-called DFU mode. The iPhone's maintenance mode is the last resort when the software fails. If you connect an iPhone to iTunes in DFU mode, you can completely reload iOS:
- First open iTunes and connect your iPhone to the computer with a cable.
- Turn off the iPhone by long pressing the power button.
- Now press the power button and the home button simultaneously for exactly 10 seconds. Ignore what is displayed on the screen. Note: For the iPhone 7, press the volume down button instead of the home button.
- After ten seconds, release the power button and keep the home button pressed. After a few seconds, the screen prompts you to connect iPhone to iTunes and iTunes detects a device in maintenance mode.
- Perform the restore according to the instructions in iTunes. You can then import a backup.
