iPhone: Send email with attachment - how it works
There is no button in the email app on iPhone that can be used to add an attachment. You can still send any file on your iPhone as an attachment. We show you in this article how to do it.
iPhone mail: Send photos and videos as attachments
You can only attach photos and videos from the Mail app.
- Long tap on an empty space in the mail until the small menu opens.
- Now tap on the small arrow on the right and then select "Insert photo or video".
- Select a folder, tap the photo or video you want and choose "Select".
- If you want to attach multiple photos or videos, you should do so using the Photo app. You can read how to do this in the next paragraph.
iPhone: Send multiple photos and other files as mail attachments
You can email any file that you can open on your iPhone as an attachment. This does not apply to music.
- First open one of the photos, the PDF file or another file that you want to send.
- Now tap on the square symbol with the arrow in the bar at the bottom.
- A menu opens. You can select more files above and then tap "Mail" to send them all as attachments.
- Add a recipient, a subject and possibly a text and tap "Send".
