iPhone: Set up email signature
You can easily set up an email signature on iPhone. You can find out how this works in this practical tip.
iPhone: Create a signature for emails
Add a signature to your emails in the settings. Under iOS 7, you can even write your own text for each email account:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Scroll down a bit in the menu and select the entry "Mail, Contacts, Calendar".
- Below you will find the item "Signature". Here you see a text field in which you can exchange the standard phrase "sent by my iPhone" with your personal signature.
Insert picture or logo as signature
By default, you cannot insert an image or video into the signature. With a little trick it still works:
- First create the desired signature including picture or logo in a mail program such as Outlook, Thunderbird or Apple Mail.
- Send an email to yourself with the signature you want and call it up on your iPhone. Mark the signature (long tap on it) and copy it.
- Open the signature editing as described above and paste the copied text (long press).
- Now shake your iPhone. The field "Revoke change attributes" appears. Touch Undo. This will keep the required HTML code.
- If necessary, adjust the signature by deleting inserted spaces or paragraphs.
