iPhone: Wrong times on the calendar - what to do?
If you see wrong times on the calendar on your iPhone, we will show you how to solve the problem.
iPhone calendar with wrong times - time zone support
The wrong times appear on your iPhone's calendar due to time zone support. With Apple's time zone support, which is activated by default and usually adjusts itself via location data, you can set and display appointments in other time zones than your current one. But since this is probably more interesting for frequent travelers, we will show you how to correctly set or deactivate time zone support.
iPhone: Check and set time zone support
First of all, you can check whether your time zone settings are correct. This may already solve your problem.
- Open "Settings"> "Mail, Contacts, Calendar"> "Calendar" and select "Time zone support".
- Then tap "Time Zone" and enter the closest city to your time zone.
- Please note that you may have to readjust the times of your appointments.
iPhone: Disable time zone support
If that did not solve your problem, you can completely deactivate time zone support.
- Under "Settings"> "Mail, Contacts, Calendar"> "Calendar" select "Time zone support".
- Turn off the service by flipping the switch. Time zone support is now deactivated.
- Please note that you may have to readjust the times of your appointments.
If you would like to try an alternative to Apple's standard calendar app, we will present a comparison of different calendar apps for iOS in another practical tip.
