If the camera on your iPhone no longer focuses automatically, you have probably switched off the autofocus. We explain how to reactivate the autofocus and what options you still have to bring the iPhone back intact.
iPhone does not focus: switch on auto focus
If autofocus is deactivated on your iPhone camera, the images can often no longer be brought into focus. Therefore, make sure that the feature is activated:
- Open the iPhone camera and find a stationary object.
- Tap the location on your screen where you want to focus the image with one finger.
- If your iPhone is working properly, the autofocus should now be activated again.
iPhone camera does not focus: more options
If your iPhone camera is still not working, you have the following options:
- Turn off your phone and restart it. If this is a temporary error, use this to fix the problem.
- Otherwise, reset your iPhone to factory settings. In separate instructions we will show you how to reset the iPhone 4, iPhone 5 or iPhone 6.
