Transfer photos to PC using Windows Explorer
With Windows Explorer you can download your photos from your iPhone to your PC without any additional program:
- To do this, connect your iPhone to the computer with a USB cable. The required drivers are then installed automatically.
- In Windows Explorer you will now find a new entry with the name of your iPhone under "Devices and drives". Click on this.
- Then open the "DCIM" folder. You can now drag and drop your photos onto the PC and save them.
Upload images to the computer using the iPhone app
- The free iOS app "Wifi Album Free" transfers your pictures via WiFi from your iPhone to your PC. All you have to do is enter the displayed IP in a browser on your computer.
- Then open one of the albums displayed and download the photos to your PC.
iCloud: Transfer photos via Apple cloud to PC
You can also transfer your photos and videos to your PC via iCloud without any cables. All you need is an Apple ID and the iCloud client; iTunes itself is not a requirement.
- Once you've set up your iCloud, new photos will be automatically transferred to your PC. You can see how iCloud setup works in the video below.
- Only downside: The iCloud does not work on every iPhone generation. An upgrade can therefore be worthwhile. Our iPhone list, which is always up to date, reveals which iPhone is currently the best figure and which is the cheapest.
iDevice Manager: Comprehensive backup tool
- With the free Windows tool "iDevice Manager" you can save your photos on the computer with just a few clicks. The program is compatible with all iOS versions.
- In addition to photos, you can also sync movies, music, and contacts.
