iPhone / iPad: Photo stream does not load all pictures - you can do that
If the photo stream on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch no longer uploads or downloads all images, this can have several reasons. We'll tell you what it is and how to fix it.
iPhone / iPad: Photo stream does not load all pictures
The photo stream only synchronizes the pictures of the last 30 days or the last 1000 photos, whichever is the first. All older images are no longer displayed in the photo stream.
- Activate photo stream: First check whether the photo stream has not been deactivated via one of your devices. To do this, open the "Settings" app and scroll down to the "Photos & Camera" item. Activate the "My Photo Stream" option there.
- Close camera app: A common cause is that the camera app is still open. As long as this app is still active, no pictures will be uploaded to the photo stream. Press the home button twice in succession and, if necessary, exit the camera app.
- Battery: If your mobile Apple device has less than 20 percent battery available, neither uploads nor downloads will be started for the photo stream. To do this, simply recharge your device.
- WLAN: The photo stream is only updated if you are connected to a WLAN. No images are loaded into the photo stream via the mobile data network.
- Restart: If there are still problems with the photo stream, restarting the device can also help in case of doubt. To do this, hold down the power button above your iPhone or iPad and select "Switch off". If your device has restarted, the problem should have disappeared by now at the latest.
- Server overloaded: Only in very rare cases are Apple's servers overloaded so that the photo stream no longer works. In this case, you have to be patient for a few hours.
This practical tip shows you how to share your photo stream with friends.
