If you want to give your family, friends or colleagues an overview of your appointments or want to share a calendar, you can easily share the calendar on your iPhone. We'll show you how to do it step by step.
Instructions: Share and share iPhone calendar
Note: In order not only to see the shared calendar, but also to edit it, the invited person must have an Apple ID. If you want to invite people without an Apple ID, they can only view the calendar and cannot edit it. Instructions can be found in the next paragraph.
- First open the "Settings" app and select the "iCloud" category. If necessary, activate the "Calendar" option to enable sharing at all.
- Now start the calendar app and tap on the "Calendar" button in the center bottom.
- In the "iCloud" area you will find your various calendars, for example "Private" and "Work".
- Tap the info button to the right of the desired calendar.
- You can use the "Add person" option to invite other people to your calendar. Enter the mail address of the person you want and confirm with "Add".
- Switch back to the "Calendar" area, tap on "Edit" in the top left corner and select the calendar you just shared.
- If you tap on the name of the contact, you can now determine whether he can not only see the calendar, but also edit it.
- Now your contact only has to accept the invitation. To do this, he also opens the calendar app and taps "Inbox" at the bottom right.
iPhone: Share calendar publicly
Alternatively, you can share your calendar with other people via a link. Send the link to someone who automatically has access to your shared calendar. The calendar can be integrated both under iOS and in all programs that support the iCalendar format. So your contact does not necessarily need an Apple ID or an Apple device.
- Open the Calendar app and select the "Calendar" category below.
- Tap the info icon to the right of the calendar you want.
- Check the "Public Calendar" option at the bottom.
- A link is then created. Anyone can view your calendar via this link, but not edit it.
- Send the link to all desired contacts, for example by email or WhatsApp.
