Transfer iPhone contacts to SIM card

Basically, you can only transfer your contacts from your SIM card to the iPhone, not the other way around. Here we explain how you can save contact data on the SIM card.
Copy contacts with SIManager
To copy your contacts to the SIM, you need a jailbreak. For some time now, you have even been able to free all devices on iOS 11 from Apple's bonds.
- If you have jailbroken your iPhone, you still need the free tweak "SIManager". You can find it in Cydia under the standard source of "iSpazio".
- The fastest way to find the app is to use the search function in Cydia. Then click on the "Install" button in the top right corner to download the free tool.
- Now you should restart your iPhone. You will then find the SIManager on your home screen.
- Now tap on the wheel at the bottom of the screen in the main menu of the app. Then select the "Empty SIM" item to free your SIM card from old contact details.
- After a few seconds you will return to the main menu. Tap the wheel again and this time select "Copy iPhone to SIM". The app now transfers all your saved contacts to the SIM card. Done!
Access to contacts without jailbreak
If you want to transfer your iPhone contacts to the SIM card, for example to migrate it to a new smartphone, there are other ways.
- Apple wants iPhone owners to use iCloud as a content access point. For this reason, the iPhone does not offer an option to transfer contacts or other content such as pictures to the SIM card using on-board means.
- So you can use iCloud or other cloud providers and store your contacts there.
- The information is then not on the SIM card. However, you can access it from any other device, such as your new iPhone.
Alternative: secure contacts via app
If you are only interested in permanently backing up your iPhone contacts as a backup, you can do it easily without iTunes.
