If mails are not displayed on your iPhone, there can be several reasons. In this practical tip, we show you which causes can be responsible.
Mails are not displayed on iPhone - possible causes
A connection to the Internet is required so that your iPhone can access and display mails.
- So check the internet connection. Your provider may have a problem.
- If this is not the case, briefly activate the flight mode and deactivate it again immediately. The easiest way to get to the setting is to open the Control Center with the swipe gesture and tap the airplane icon here.
- Also check the WiFi connection. If your WLAN does not work, you will find the most common causes and solutions in a separate practical tip.
- If the internet connection is up and no mails are displayed, close the mail app completely and restart it. Often this is the solution to the problem.
- There may also be a software update for your iPhone. If so, install the recommended iOS version. Incidentally, restarting the iPhone solves many a problem. This may also help if emails are not displayed.
- Perhaps the problem also lies in the settings of the email account. To do this, open the settings on your iPhone, scroll to "Passwords & Accounts" and then tap on "Data synchronization".
- Here you can check whether the automatic retrieval of the mails is activated and also how often the mails are to be retrieved.
- If the previous measures have not helped, set up your email account again. To do this, navigate in the settings to "Mail, Contacts, Calendar -> Account" and tap on "Unsubscribe". Then you can set up your mail account again on the iPhone.
