Using iPhone with head movements - is that possible?
In iOS 7 you will find a function that allows you to operate your iPhone or iPad with head movements. Here's how to activate the hidden feature.
Enable head movement control on your iPhone and iPad with iOS 7
With the "Head control" of iOS 7 you can operate your iDevice without touching it. The head movement control was developed primarily for the disabled, who can use an iPhone more easily. However, the process is not yet very mature. The feature is currently limited to two main functions.
- First open the Settings app.
- Tap on the "General" menu item and select "Accessibility".
- There, tap on the "Switch control" option.
- Now you can create a new switch and assign it, for example, the "camera" as the source.
- Now move your head to the right or left to save the gesture. Then you assign the movement to a specific function.
iOS 7 contains many more new functions: In another practical tip, we will show you what is behind the new Carplay function.
