The "do not disturb" function on the iPhone silences all sounds. In this tip, we explain how to activate and use the function from iOS 12.
Activate and set "Do not disturb" on the iPhone
With the "Do not disturb" function, calls, messages and notices are silenced. This is particularly useful in important conversations.
- In the start menu tap on "Settings".
- Select "Do Not Disturb."
- Push "Do Not Disturb" to the right to activate the function.
- If you activate the controller at "Scheduled", you can enter a time period when the "Do not disturb" function should work.
- In "Allow calls" incoming calls from, for example, "Favorites" are not muted even when the "Do not disturb" function is activated.
- If you activate "Repeated calls", the callers who try to reach you a second time within three minutes will not be muted.
- In the "Mute:" area you can decide whether the "Do not disturb" function should always be used or only in the locked state.
