Restart iPhone without power button - so it'll work
It may happen that you have to restart your iPhone without a power button, for example if it is defective. In this practical tip, we will tell you how to do this.
Restart iPhone without power button - so it'll work
If your power button is defective, you do not have to resort to expensive repairs straight away. You can also help yourself with the AssistiveTouch and restart your device, for example:
- Open the settings and go to the "General"> "Accessibility"> "AssistiveTouch" menu.
- If you activate the AssistiveToch slider, a white dot appears in the upper left corner.
- Tap on the point and then on "Device".
- You will now see various options such as the rotation lock or the volume control. If you tap and hold the "Lock screen" button, the usual slider appears, which you can use to switch off the iPhone.
- The AssistiveTouch naturally only works when the device is switched on. If you want to restart your iPhone without a power button, connect it to the socket using a charging cable. The iPhone then starts up again on its own.
