If you connect your iPhone to your stereo system via Bluetooth, you can listen to music from anywhere in the home without any cable clutter. All you need is an appropriate Bluetooth receiver.
Connect the Bluetooth adapter to the stereo system
We explain the procedure using the example of a Belkin music receiver; Devices from other manufacturers work very similarly.
- First, connect the Belkin receiver to your stereo system using the jack / double cinch plug supplied. Make a note of which audio input the adapter is using
- Then connect the adapter's power supply. The blue light on the Belkin receiver lights up briefly - the device is ready to receive.
Pair iPhone with Bluetooth receiver
- Now call up the settings on your iPhone (the whole thing also works analogously with an iPod or iPad).
- There you then tap on "Bluetooth" and switch on the reception.
- The Belkin adapter now appears in the "Devices" list; You can connect the receiver to your iPhone / iPad / iPod at the touch of a finger. In some cases you have to enter "0000" as the PIN. The Belkin receiver confirms the successful pairing again with the blue LED light.
- If you now place your stereo system on the corresponding input channel, you can stream your favorite songs from the iOS music app and operate them via the app.
Belkin specifies the range of the receiver as approx. 9 meters. You can find more tips on iPhone and stereo systems in this tip.
