If you do not want your iPhone to monitor you with the pedometer from iOS 8, you should deactivate the function. We'll show you exactly how to do this.

- On the iPhone 5S, 6 and 6 Plus, iPad Air 1 + 2 and iPad mini 2 + 3, your steps are counted using the co-processor. Battery is hardly used at all.
- However, many users do not want your steps to be tracked. Now Apple has reacted and installed a suitable function. Deactivation is possible from version iOS 8.2.

- Open the Health app and switch to the "Data" category below.
- Here you will find the category "Exercise and Fitness".
- If you deactivate the "Fitness protocol" option, your steps are no longer counted.
