iPhone doesn't sync with iTunes - you can
If your iPhone doesn't sync with iTunes, there can be several reasons. We'll show you how to solve the problem.
Resolution: iPhone doesn't sync with iTunes
Any of the following solutions can solve the problem. Follow the steps in the order given to save you unnecessary effort:
- Disconnect cable: In the best case, you can fix the problem by disconnecting the cable. Unplug it from the computer and iPhone and plug it back in.
- Restart: Restart as iTunes. If that doesn't help, restart both your computer and your iPhone.
- iCloud: Saving your data both in iCloud and on the PC can lead to complications. If a backup is currently being carried out via iCloud, you have to wait until the end to start the synchronization on the PC.
- Software update: There is rarely a software error. However, you should always install the latest version of the software on both devices.
iTunes: Incorrect Sync Settings?
If the actual synchronization works, but your data does not seem to be compared, the wrong settings have been made.
- Click your iPhone in the top right of the window and select the "Overview" tab.
- At the bottom of the "Options" you can now change the automatic synchronization or the type of synchronization (see picture).
- You can also activate automatic synchronization under the "Music", "Movies" or "Apps" tabs.
In the worst case: reset iPhone
In the worst case, you have to reset your iPhone.
