iPhone doesn't connect to WiFi - what to do?
If your iPhone is no longer connected to the WiFi network, this can have several reasons. We'll show you how to solve the problem.
First aid: iPhone does not establish a WLAN connection
- First, turn your iPhone completely off and on again. Small errors in the buffer are thus deleted.
- Then open the "Settings" app and deactivate the mobile data above under "Mobile network". This prevents the connection from being constantly changed.
iPhone: re-establish WiFi connection
- Open the "WLAN" category in the "Settings" app and tap on the info symbol next to your WLAN network.
- Select the "Ignore this network" option and confirm the process with the "Ignore" button.
- You can then connect to the WiFi network again.
Reset network settings on iPhone
- Open the "Settings" app and select the "General" category.
- Scroll down to the bottom and choose the "Reset" option.
- Select the "Network settings" and confirm the process.
- Then all connection settings are deleted. Now dial into the WiFi network again.
Router: iPhone does not connect to the WLAN
- The problem may not be with the iPhone but with your router. Disconnect the device from the power for a few seconds and then reconnect it.
- Also check whether the WLAN problems also occur with other devices. This would be another indication of an error in the router.
- Also delete the connection to the smartphone in the router. With the FritzBox, for example, this works under the category "WLAN".
If all of this does not help, you can completely reinstall your iPhone.
