iPhone: Recover lost apps
If you want to restore lost apps on your iPhone, there are two different solutions. You can download your apps again directly from the App Store with your iPhone. Alternatively, you need to connect your iPhone to iTunes and then transport your purchased apps to your iPhone. We show you in our guide how the recovery works.
Recover missing apps directly from iPhone
If you accidentally deleted apps, download them again directly from your iPhone. All apps you have purchased are presented in a list.
- Start the app store on your home screen.
- Select the "Updates" item in the lower tab.
- Now click on the "Purchased items" field (see picture).
- Your purchased apps are now displayed in a list. Now all you have to do is press "Not on iPhone" in the upper tab and download your missing apps again by touching the cloud symbol.
Transfer lost apps to your iPhone using iTunes
With iTunes you also have the opportunity to find lost apps and transfer them to your iPhone again. To do this, you must first log in with the identical Apple ID of your iPhone.
- Start iTunes.
- In the upper tab click on the item "Store" and select "Register ...".
- Enter your account details and then switch to the main page of iTunes by clicking on the "Home" icon.
- Here you can see some categories on the right side (see picture). Select "Purchased items" here.
- Now select the "Apps" tab and see all the apps you have bought. You can now download it. Open your media library and select "Apps" here. Now drag and drop your app onto your iPhone.
