Deactivate iPhone X Face ID - Here's how
With a simple trick you can deactivate the Face ID on the iPhone X. This can make sense in certain situations. We will show you how to force the password.
How to disable Face ID
The Face ID saves entering a password. However, the function can easily be deactivated at short notice.
- If you want to deactivate the Face ID, simply press the volume buttons on the left and the standby button on the right side of the iPhone at the same time.
- Pressing this key combination deactivates the Face ID. It is then no longer possible to unlock the iPhone using face recognition. If you want to access your data or make calls, you must now enter your password.
- Another way is via emergency mode. If you press the stand-by button five times in succession, SOS mode is called up. By tapping on "Cancel", like the previous model, the Touch ID should be temporarily deactivated on the iPhone X.
Disable Face ID - it is helpful in these situations
Face ID is actually a handy tool for unlocking your iPhone X. However, there are situations where this is too easy a method to access the iPhone.
- If you are mugged, the thief could unlock the phone by simply holding it in front of your face before using it to get out of the dust.
- You can look away - to unlock using face recognition, you have to stare at the screen. However, this method is not so safe.
- The easiest and fastest way is to deactivate the Face ID described at the beginning of the article. The good thing about it: You can quickly and inconspicuously press the two buttons in your pocket - before you take off your cell phone.
