iPhoto: Import photo from an email
When you receive a photo via email, you can easily import it into iPhoto. We'll show you how.
Import photo from Apple Mail to iPhoto
If you want to import photos from Apple's Mail program into iPhoto, you need to do the following:
- Open "Mail".
- Search for the email with the pictures and open it.
- Click "Save" to the right of the attachment, then click "Add to iPhoto".
Import photo from other mail programs
If you don't use Mail, you can still import your photos into iPhoto:
- Start your email program - e.g. Thunderbird.
- Search for the email with the pictures and open it.
- Save the photo to your Mac by clicking on it and selecting the "Save As ..." option.
- Then select the "File" option in "iPhoto" and then "Import to media library ...".
- Find the picture you want and click the "Import" button.
