Import photos from your digital camera via iPhoto
You can import your photos from your digital camera to iPhoto in just a few steps. Proceed according to the following points.
- Connect your digital camera to your Mac using the camera cable provided.
- Turn on the digital camera and make sure that your camera's import mode - if available - is activated.
- iPhoto will now automatically open in import mode.
- By default, the photos are split into events. If you want to disable this setting, remove the check mark next to "Share events".
- Now click on "Import" if you want to transfer all photos. You can also select individual photos and then import them.
Stop import and eject camera
You can stop the import process and decide whether the images that have already been transferred should be kept or removed. In addition, the camera must then be ejected.
- Click on "Stop importing" to interrupt the transfer. In the next window you can specify the details with which the import should be interrupted.
- After the import process is complete, you must eject the camera. Control-click the device name of your digital camera on the left, and then select the eject icon.
- Now all you have to do is turn off your camera and unplug the cable from your Mac.
