Uninstall iPhoto completely - so it'll work
In order for the program to be completely removed, the remaining files and folders must be deleted by hand:
- Open the Finder and locate the "iPhoto" folder.
- Click on the folder and drag it to the trash. Then right-click on it and select "Empty" so that the program is permanently deleted.
- Now you have to open the "Library / preferences" folder and look for entries that start with "com.apple.iphoto".
- Delete all entries and folders that begin with it and then empty the trash.
- Finally, you should restart your Mac.
- Remember that this will not delete the images in your library. You can find these in the "Pictures" folder on your Mac.
