iPhoto: How to share your photos online
In iPhoto, you can send your photos directly to friends or share them on the web. We'll show you how it works.
Share photos on the web with iPhoto
- In iPhoto, click an image you want to share. A display with information about the image opens in the right display window. Here you can edit the picture name, rate the picture, add a description and recognize and name faces in the picture.
- At the bottom right click on the "Edit" icon. Here you can still edit the highlighted photo. Among other things, you can add effects, adjust contrasts, light and sharpness or correct red eyes. In another article, we will show you exactly how photo editing works in iPhoto.
- At the bottom right you will also find the "Ready" icon. Click on it. A display opens on the right with various services on which you can provide your pictures on the Internet.
- You can send your picture to friends via the "Messages" app or send it via email via "Mail". Use the "Facebook", "Flickr" and "Twitter" icons to share your photos on social networks.
- All you have to do is enter your user name and password. After logging in for Facebook, you can decide whether you want to post the photo as a "profile picture", in an album or in your timeline. In the next step you can, for example, choose who the image should be visible to when selecting "Timeline" and add a comment. Use "Publish" to post the picture on the Internet.
