IrfanView for Mac - is there?
IrfanView is a popular program for Windows computers, but Mac owners are desperately looking for a version. The reason: there is no Mac version. However, you can also enjoy Irfanview on your Mac by installing second software.
Use Irfanview on Mac - via emulator or boot camp
The easiest way to use Irfanview on your Mac computer is to install a Windows emulator. IrfanView recommends the "Winebottler" program in its own FAQs. Alternatively, you can try "Wineskin".
- You can download IrfanView here for free.
- You have to download the Windows emulator "Winebottler" from the provider's download portal. Alternatively, you can also use "WINE for Darwin and Mac OS X". The free tool is available in our download area.
- Then follow the instructions of the selected emulator and integrate the setup EXE from IrfanView.
- The best, but also the most expensive, solution is to install Windows via Bootcamp. To do this, you must have a valid license key for a Windows version.
IrfanView may not be fully usable via an emulator. Functional impairments may occur.
