Setting up an ISDN telephone system - how it works
You can easily set up an ISDN telephone system yourself. In this guide, we show you exactly how to do this.
How to set up your ISDN telephone system correctly
- After you have received the package with the necessary materials, first check it for completeness. Are all necessary connections, cables and adapters included? Contact your provider if this is not the case.
- Now take out the NTBA box and connect it to the telephone connection.
- To do this, plug the appropriate cable into the telephone connection and then into the NTBA box from below.
- Then connect the NTBA box with the supplied power cable and connect it to the socket.
- Now you can connect the phone directly to the NTBA box. To do this, use the cable that the provider or manufacturer of the phone has provided.
- With some devices you now have to define the phone number. Since this process differs depending on the system, you can look it up in the manual for your telephone.
- In addition, you have to make various settings for some routers, which you can also look up in the respective manual.
