Deactivate iTunes autostart - how it works
If you do not want iTunes to start automatically every time, you can deactivate the autostart. We show you the procedure.
Disable iTunes autostart
- Simultaneously press the [Windows] + [R] keys so that the "Execute" command opens.
- Enter "msconfig" here and confirm with "OK". Then the "System configuration" opens.
- Go to the "Startup" tab above and sort the list "by manufacturer" or "publisher".
- Search for "Apple Inc." and disable all related services such as "Apple Push" or "iTunes Helper" to prevent iTunes from starting automatically.
- Your settings are saved with the "OK" button.
- Note: Under no circumstances should you deactivate the "Bonjour" service. This is required by iTunes and has no effect on the autostart.
