Fix error 6 in iTunes
- Administrator: First log in as administrator. In this way you can rule out a simple authorization problem.
- Time & Date: Also check the time and date settings. If the information is incorrect, iTunes cannot communicate with the Apple servers.
- Update iTunes: If you use a slightly older version of iTunes, this can also lead to problems. In this case, start an iTunes update.
- USB: If the problem occurs with a connected iOS device, use a different cable. Switching to a different USB port can also help.

- Often, error 6 is also triggered by a problem with security software in iTunes. Anti-virus programs and additionally installed firewalls can prevent iTunes from communicating for security reasons.
