iTunes: Buy cheap music with "Complete albums
If you purchased a single track from iTunes, you can use the "Complete albums" function. This automatically loads the remaining songs from an album onto your iDevice - often quite cheaply. All information is summarized here.
When is "Complete albums" possible?
If you have already bought a song from an album, you often get the remaining songs with "Complete albums" at a reduced price. However, this function is not always available:
- The "Complete album" feature is usually available 180 days after the purchase of the individual track.
- If you have received a title through promotions such as "Single of the Week" or "Discovery Download", a reduction is not possible.
- Track code actions may also be excluded from "Complete Albums". In individual cases, this also applies to bonus material from the albums.
- If an album is no longer available on iTunes, you are not entitled to the other songs at a reduced price.
- Even if you have already deleted the purchased track, the completion function is automatically available. The prerequisite is that you use the same Apple ID.
What does "complete albums" cost?
- Apple will reduce the remaining price for "Complete Album" by the amount you have already invested in the album.
- For example, if an album costs 9.99 euros and you have already bought two songs for 1.29 euros each, the new album price is 7.41 euros.
- If you have purchased a title using bonus codes, the regular price for the song is usually deducted from the album price.
Tip: You can also purchase individually purchased music videos and TV show seasons with "Complete album".
