iTunes: Hide and show purchases - how it works
This practical tip shows you how you can quickly and easily show and hide your purchases in iTunes.
Hide purchases in iTunes
With the free iTunes software you can easily manage your music, videos, apps, books or podcasts on your PC or Mac. You also need the program to transfer files to an Apple device. You can also use the integrated iTunes store to buy and download new songs, for example. If you want to hide your purchases in iTunes, do the following:
- Start iTunes on your PC or Mac.
- Under "Store" in the menu bar click on the option "Login". Then enter your Apple ID and password to sign in.
- After successful login, open the "iTunes Store".
- In the iTunes Store you will find a list on the right with the title "Everything at one click". Click the Purchased Items tab in this list.
- Then choose from the "Apps", "TV Shows", "Music" or "Books" sections above the one from which you want to hide purchases.
- Hover over the purchase you want to hide. An "X" will appear in one of the top corners of the object.
- To hide the purchase, just click the "X". You will receive a confirmation if the masking is successful.
Show purchases in iTunes
To show your iTunes purchases again, do the following:
- Start iTunes on your PC or Mac and open the iTunes Store.
- Click your account in the iTunes Store. Enter your Apple ID and password if you haven't already signed in.
- As soon as you have successfully logged in, you can view your account information. In iTunes in the Cloud, click Manage.
- Then choose between the categories "Apps", "TV shows", "Music" or "Books" at the top from which you want to display the purchases.
- Now click on the "Show" button next to the object you want to show again.
