iTunes doesn't import music - you can
If iTunes no longer imports your music, there can be several reasons. We'll show you how to solve the problem.
iTunes doesn't import music
- Update: First you should check whether an update for iTunes is available. Outdated versions can cause problems.
- Convert: iTunes may not handle the format of the music. Even if they are MP3 files, converting them to another format such as AAC or WAV can be worthwhile. For conversion, you can use the Freemake Audio Converter, for example.
- Folder import: It can also be helpful to insert the music directly. To do this, copy the music into the path "C: \ Users \ XXX \ Music \ iTunes \ iTunes Media \ Automatically add to iTunes". You have to replace the entry "XXX" with your Windows user name. Depending on the drive on which your iTunes music is stored, the path may also differ.
- CD import: If the error occurs when importing a CD, simultaneously press the "Ctrl" and ", " (comma) keys in iTunes. In Mac OS you will find the settings via the "iTunes" button in the top left of the window. Click the "Import Settings" button in the settings and deactivate the "Use error correction when reading audio CDs" option here.
