iTunes: Disable parental controls
iTunes has a child lock that can be used to lock age-restricted music, among other things. This is how it can be deactivated.
How to disable iTunes parental controls
- Start iTunes.
- Open the settings. These can be found in the task bar under the menu "iTunes" (Mac) or "Edit" (Windows).
- Go to the Parental Control tab.
- Remove all checkmarks under the "Deactivate" and "Limit" items. If the settings cannot be changed, click on the lock symbol at the bottom left and release the settings with your administrator password and a click on "OK".
- Also click OK on the Parental Control Settings menu to save the settings.
