With the "Home Sharing" feature, you can also stream videos on multiple Apple devices without having to sync them for a long time. This even works on Apple TVs from the second generation.
- Since the iTunes update to version 10.2 and iOS 4.3, there is the new "private release" feature, which is equivalent to "home sharing".
- First, sign in to iTunes (64-bit or 32-bit) on your Mac or PC with your Apple ID.
- Now you can select and activate the “private sharing” in the “Advanced” menu.
How to share your iTunes library on your iPhone
Now log in to your iPhone with the same Apple ID and also open iTunes there:
- To do this, tap on "Settings" and "Music" or "Settings" and "Video" to activate "private sharing" on your iPhone. One of the two processes is sufficient, since the other setting is automatically changed as well.
- Finally, in the "Private Sharing" area, enter your Apple ID with the corresponding password, which you previously entered on your computer. Confirm the changes with the [Enter] key.
